It started with individual trees.

With trees along roadsides, in fields, and in old-growth forests. With their silhouettes in the morning light, their appearance in the fog, or with the way a single tree can transform an entire landscape. At some point, I realized that I was no longer simply photographing landscapes—I had begun to specifically search for trees.

Since then, this fascination has slowly grown into a personal photographic project.

I don't yet know exactly where this journey will lead me. Perhaps that's precisely the appeal. I photograph, observe, constantly discover new forms and connections, and try to find out what it is about trees that fascinates me so much.

The idea for a future photo book already exists. Perhaps it will one day be a collection of special trees. Perhaps it will be a story about landscape, time, and change. And perhaps, above all, it will tell the story of how my landscape photography sparked a special passion for trees.

The story has not yet been written.
